reason that the incarnation came about as much because of God’s holiness as because of his love. But Scripture says less about this angle than about the love that explains why there was an incarnation. And so this theme is what I want to continue in this chapter. And I have an ambitious agenda. First, I want to explore a little further why it is we assume that we know automatically what God’s love is. Second, I am proposing that we can understand all of God’s character under the language of his holy-love.
